Just What the Heck is a Super7 Store Anyway?
St. Petersburg Times columnist, Mark Albright, takes his best shot at answering this question:"Since selling his software business, Scott Dias has been living the dream setting up a toy store for big boys.
The 34-year-old collector is molding a business from his passion for vinyl models of cheesy Japanese monsters, Saturday cartoon characters and gadget films like Star Wars and Tron.

Press Release:
Super7 Set to Debut New Florida Toy Store
Toys, Art, Design, and Culture arrive in Tampa Bay.
Saint Petersburg, FL and San Francisco, CA (August 21, 2009) – Furthering its strategy of delivering outstanding toys, art, and design items, San Francisco-based toy and print leader Super7 is opening a new retail shop in downtown Saint Petersburg, Florida at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 29th. The store is located at 720 2nd Street North.
This expansion allows toy and art fans from all over Florida and throughout the Southeast access to Super7’s unparalleled portfolio of world class creative content, produced both in house as well as through collaboration with the world’s finest artists and designers.
Having already established itself a sizeable reputation through the publication of its self-titled magazine, Super7’s retail store in San Francisco has become a Mecca for toy lovers the world over. Providing regular releases of its own exclusive line of limited edition vinyl toys, prints, and tees, any toy nerd or art fan is sure to find something within its walls to drool over. Monthly art shows promoting the works of both established and up-and-coming artists are also held in its in-store gallery.
Determined not to let an ailing economy get in the way of progress, husband and wife entrepreneurs Scott Dias and Lauren Eichinger are committed to bringing all of the excitement and magic from the California shop to their new Florida store. After selling his restaurant POS software company, Millennial Business Solutions, in 2007, Super7 Florida president, Scott Dias, has traveled extensively in search of the finest designers and toy craftsmen alive.
Dias, who has studied art history at Harvard and management and finance at the London School of Economics, said, “The name Super7 is known everywhere as being synonymous with quality. Every toy we produce is sculpted into a clay mold by the world’s top toy sculptors, manufactured one at a time in Japan, and painted by the same expert hands that painted the original Godzilla vinyl toys from the 60’s and 70’s. Simply put, these are the highest quality toys available anywhere, and Lauren and I are thrilled to be bringing them to St. Pete.”
Super7 founder and president, Brian Flynn, also co-owns the award winning San Francisco-based design firm Hybrid Design with his wife Dora Drimalas. Both will be in attendance at the August 29th opening.
